Here's a card using the new Autumn Harvest set that will be in the upcoming holiday mini catalog. I watercolored the pumpkins with watercolor crayons and an aquapainter on watercolor paper. Then I sat there trying to figure out what to do with them. (Gail, if you see this... these are pumpkins I didn't know what to do with the day you were here stamping.)  I kept holding them up to different papers from the new Apple Cider dp to see which one looked better and trying to figure out what I wanted to add to the card. For some reason I felt completely stumped, so I decided to just set them aside for the moment.  Then the next day I had the Outlaw dp sitting out and decided to go with a piece from that. I wanted to stamp some leaves to use on the card and wondered how they'd look stamped on designer paper, so I stamped some on Outlaw paper and some on Apple Cider paper. I cut them out and sponged a little Close to Cocoa on them. I mounted the pumpkins on Close to Cocoa and detressed it a little. Then came the process of deciding where to place the leaves. If you knew how long it took me to decide you'd probably laugh, but that's just how it is with some cards.  : )  Some of the leaves are glued on flat and some are attached with dimensionals. Of course I had to add some ribbon to finish it off.  : )  And in the end I was pleased with the results.  Hope you like it.  : )

Stamps: Autumn Harvest (coming Sept. 1), God's Blessings

Paper: Close to Cocoa, watercolor paper, Outlaw dp, Apple Cider dp

Inks: Close to Cocoa, Stazon Black

Accessories: watercolor crayons, aquapainter, sponge, destresser, grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals

I'm having a lot of fun with this new True Friend set... so here's one using Really Rust  : )

I inked the stem and leaves of the flower with the mellow moss marker and then went over the edges with the garden green marker. The flower was stamped in Really Rust, cut out, mounted with dimensionals, and then I put glitter on part of it. (Not sure if you can see the glitter in the picture.)  Obviously there's lots of faux stitching. I can't seem to put away my piercer and mat pack. <wink>  : )   The buttons were threaded with floss and then attached with sticky strip.

Stamps: True Friend (coming in the Holiday mini Sept. 1), Itty Bitty Background

Paper: Really Rust, River Rock, Apple Cider designer paper (coming in the Holiday Mini)

Ink: Really Rust

Accessories: buttons, thread, markers, mat pack, piercer, sponge, glitter

This is the card I made for Jami's new catalog swap.  It wasn't too hard to decide which image to use out of the set... knowing how much Jami loves birds.  : )

Here are two cards I made using Thomas Kinkade images I got from my friend, Taylor. (Thank you Taylor)  : )

On the first card I did just a little coloring of the image and then lots of sponging over it... which mutes the colors. On the second card I didn't do any coloring on the main image. It's just sponged with creamy caramel and Chocolate Chip ink.  : )

I was going through some of my older stamps (pre-stampin' Up days) and found this one, so I decided to use it for one of the sketch challenges on scs.  I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture, but the card base is the new Stampin' Up textured cardstock! You've got to try it! It's wonderful paper!!! : )

Here's the card I made for my nephew's first birthday.  I wanted to make the monkey hold the #1 so I used an exacto knife to cute around his hand and a little way up the arm... then slipped the #1 underneath. The leaves were made by cutting them out of the designer paper (same paper as I used for the background).  I then sponged a little Wasabi and Chocolate Chip around their edges. Next I pressed them against the versamark pad, dipped them in clear embossing powder, and heat embossed. One of them is attached flat, while the other two are attached with dimensionals. I also wanted to give the monkey a little more dimesion so I stamped an extra monkey, cut out just the head and attached it, with a dimensional, on top of the monkey on the card.

Stamps: Monkey Business, God's Blessings

Inks: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip

Papers: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, designer paper

Accessories: glitter, versamark pad, clear embossing powder
