For this card I pulled out my old "Best of Cluck" set.  Since I had this piece of black and white polka-dot paper I decided to make the chicken match. I colored the chicken with black and red prisma markers and then used the white gel pen to add the polka-dots.  : )

We all need someone to lean on once in awhile. I'm so blessed to have my friends and family there for me when I need them (which has been a lot lately). But even more than that I am forever indebted to my God for being more than just someone to lean on, but also to lift me up, be my strength, my Savior, my joy, and my peace.

A couple weeks ago Stampin' Up gave all their demonstrators a Free Stamp set as a Christmas present.   A few days before I received the new set I had cut out this big dog dish from my metal (using a die-cut machine).  I wanted to use it on a card but kept wondering what in world I could do with it. Then the new stamp set arrived and I saw the stamp that says "too much of a good thing is a GOOD THING."  And there you have it.   : )

Stamps: Time Well spent, Bow Wow, Itty Bitty Backgrounds

Paper: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip,

Ink: So Saffron, Choc. Chip,

Accessories: Metal, Alcohol inks, copper cord, copic markers (to color the dog)

I still have more metal for sale. If you're interested in purchasing some please email me (click on my email near the top of the right hand column.)

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted a new card.  I've been working on several, but haven't completed many.  Here's one I did the other day for my dad's birthday.  It's kind of silly, but I like it.  My Dad is a farmer/rancher but he looks nothing like the farmer on this card.  While Farmer Joe on the card here looks somewhat comical, my dad is the strong handsome type.  I'll have to post a picture of him sometime.  :  )

Check back later today or tomorrow morning. I have a new card I'm going to post that I used some of my metal on.  : )

Card info:

Stamps: On the Farm (retired SU set), Birthday Greetings (SU), chicken wire (retired SU)

Paper: Real Red, Blue Bayou, White

Inks: Black Pallette

Accessories: Blue Bayou Ribbon, Copic and Prisma markers

I'm so bummed! My metal shipment was delayed until tomorrow. Please check back then for prices... and hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of it too. : ) For today... here's another card using metal with a cuttlebug alphabet die-cut and alcohol inks.

Another fun thing you can do with the metal is apply alcohol inks.  These inks are a lot of fun and work awesome on metal.  I cut the letters with the cuttlebug first and then applied the inks.

Stamps: Season of Joy (Stampin' Up), Linen

Inks: Pretty in Pink

Paper: Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Metal sheet, Satin Ribbon (from the Stampin' Up holiday mini), Alcohol inks and dauber to add cool color to the letters.  : )

Anyone looking for a good price for Metal? I recently found a great source for metal sheets that work great in the cuttlebug and other embossing and die-cutting systems.  Tomorrow I'll be listing prices, quantities, etc., so please check back for all the info if you're interested in purchasing some.  For today... here's a card made with a piece of the metal. It's super simple. I just sent it through the cuttlebug in the snowflake die.  I love the added texture the metal adds to the card.  : )

Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the info on the metal sheets.  : )

Stamps: Baroque Motifs

Paper: Holiday designer paper, Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink

Here's the card I made for my nephew's first birthday.  I wanted to make the monkey hold the #1 so I used an exacto knife to cute around his hand and a little way up the arm... then slipped the #1 underneath. The leaves were made by cutting them out of the designer paper (same paper as I used for the background).  I then sponged a little Wasabi and Chocolate Chip around their edges. Next I pressed them against the versamark pad, dipped them in clear embossing powder, and heat embossed. One of them is attached flat, while the other two are attached with dimensionals. I also wanted to give the monkey a little more dimesion so I stamped an extra monkey, cut out just the head and attached it, with a dimensional, on top of the monkey on the card.

Stamps: Monkey Business, God's Blessings

Inks: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip

Papers: Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, designer paper

Accessories: glitter, versamark pad, clear embossing powder
